On Wednesday, March 20th we had a beautiful Purim service in the shul. Following Maariv and Megilah reading, we had a wonderful communal dinner in honor of the holiday. We would like to thank the following people whose generous sponsorship helped make the dinner possible: Susan Klein, Sid and Evie Wiesner, Matt and Dina Hausman and Congregation Ahavath Achim. We would also like to thank Stacy Mintz for making up Mishloach Manot baskets, and Sharon Risch for decorating the tables.

Magevet is a Jewish, Hebrew, and Israeli a cappella group from Yale University. All of its members are undergrads devoted to spreading beautiful music of the Jewish tradition to the far corners of the globe. Magevet was founded in the spring of 1993 (allegedly by a bunch of Orthodox men singing in a sauna) and has since then entertained audiences the world over with its delightful music and spunky schtick. The Magevet repertoire is extremely diverse.
